Get involved

We are looking for families - including mums, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters. There are many ways you can take part depending on how much time you have and what you want to know.

We have worked with schools in Reading to provide land on which to create community allotments that allow not only the school population to get growing but also those children's families and other local community groups.

We are very thankful for the support we have received from local businesses in the form of material donations but also people-power to get the soil dug and the raised beds created.

Food4families is very grateful for all those who volunteer for the project, and who will ensure the projects long-term sustainability. You don't just need to be expert gardener to volunteer, anyone with an interest in urban growing is welcome.

If you'd like to get involved, contact us or check the volunteer opportunities.
