The young people attending the Youth Club at Amersham Rd Centre have been working hard all spring to create a garden that will be open to all the community to enjoy and have a go at growing fruit and vegetables. 

We had our first session in the Easter holidays when we managed to clear lots of weeds and remove a very large palm from an old raised bed.

We made a great start on the new raised beds, which were put in place and filled during the first evening session in May.

Since then we have constructed and put in place the rest of the raised beds and planted them with potatoes, peas, beans, parsnips tomatoes and, although not edible, we have a flower bed by request.

We have also planted a herb bed, a morello cherry tree, a plum tree and a pear tree.
